Clematis Venosa Violacea is a popular, robust, and free-flowering deciduous climber known for its distinctive 4-inch violet-purple flowers with white-veined centers, turning all purple on the edges. Does well in the sun and semi-shade. Blooms July, August and September.
Pruning Group 3 (Requiring hard pruning in early spring).
Prefers well-drained, fertile soil. Prefers "cool feet" (mulch the root zone to keep it cool and moist).
