How It Works:
When you register for a CSA share with SNAP benefits, you have the option to pay the total amount up front or spread your payments out over the course of the CSA season. Payments are automatically withdrawn from your EBT account. Payment amounts depend on the size of share, add-ons, and amount of Double Up Food Bucks you are eligible for.
We can only process payments if you have SNAP food benefits. We cannot process your payment if you only receive cash benefits (allowing you to buy non-food items).
Examples
If you register for a $284 1-2 person share, you would pay a one-time $20 administrative fee, DUFB would pay $132 and the remaining $132 will be deducted from your SNAP benefits. If you choose to spread your payments out over the season your EBT account would be charged an initial payment of $50.99 in March, then $27 per month from April - June (3 months).
If you register for a $500 Family Size $140 Berry Bundle you would pay a $20 administrative fee & a $25 bottle deposit, DUFB would pay $320 and the remaining $320 will be deducted from your SNAP benefits. If you choose to spread your payments out over the season your EBT account would be charged an initial payment of $138.98 in June, then $70 per month from April - June (3 months).
If you register for just a $140 Full Flat Berry Bundle, there is no administrative fee, DUFB would pay $70.00. The Berry Bundle can not be spread out over the Summer season the remaining $70.00 will be deducted from your SNAP benefits in June.
