  • Nurture the inner gardener in your child with a hands-on, fun-filled class geared specifically for them! Each child will leave with a basic understanding of how plants grow and where their fresh vegetables come from. Plus, each child will leave with a soon-to-be pumpkin plant they can care for at home.   • Make your own gorgeous Holiday Wreath from Noble Fir, Pine, Incense Cedar, and other natural Pacific Northwest materials. Ron will demonstrate and give one-on-one help to ensure your wreath will be as beautiful as it is unique! All materials to make a full and festive wreath are included with the price of the class, but participants are encouraged to bring a special keepsake ornament to add to their wreath. With a food dehydrator so you'll be able to stock up for year-round savings and enjoy the taste of summer in the dead of winter! Don't have a food dehydrator? Attend the class and receive a 20% discount on all dehydrators in stock. This is a free class but registration is appreciated. With the use of dried pods, berries, moss, branches, and other material, you'll learn how to create a one of a kind wreath you'll be proud to hang on your door or inside your home. The produce stand carries several varieties of apples perfect for making applesauce – get creative and come up with your own blend.   • Canning is a great and easy way to preserve the taste of summer to enjoy throughout the whole year. You will learn the basics of hot water bath canning and all the steps that are necessary to ensure safe preservation.   • Transform your food scraps into free, nutrient-rich compost for your garden. Master Recycler, Cecilia Warner, will teach you how to set up a bin, basic maintenance, harvest and use of the worm castings. We will also raffle off a starter box of worms for one lucky participant! Come learn the ins and outs of brewing this bubbly probiotic drink at home from fermentation master and owner of Oregonic Tonic Kombucha Dave McGee.
